A New Era

Over the last three or so years, there have been tons of club teams that have popped up all over Oklahoma. The rub is the player pool is smaller than most other regions, and at times it’s made it difficult to field teams.

As a club, we’re looking to fix that. Combining the largest team in the state, Red Dirt, with the only program in OKC, 89ers, our goal is to take club lacrosse in the state and surrounding region to the next level.

To that end, we’ve formed Prairie Fire Lacrosse Club. Our coaching staff boasts over 20 years of combined college coaching experience, a USA Box Lacrosse player, as well as plenty of experience as collegiate athletes.

Not only are we the premier club lacrosse program for girls in Oklahoma, but we are expanding into a regional model – entering into Springfield, Mo., to reach players who otherwise would have to drive three to four hours.

A deeper team allows us to bring better awareness to the players in our region. This includes the creation of a Prairie Fire National Team, going to some of the premier tournaments in the country, as well as regional teams that offer the opportunity for players to develop while playing closer to home.

We’re excited to get going, and hope you all will join us on this journey. Tryouts will be Sunday, Feb. 11 at Jenks Middle School. To register, you can use the link on the banner in the top right, or click here.
